OUR NEWSLETTER

All of us at MCS have been very busy over the past twelve months and we’d like to update you on the places we’ve visited, the people we’ve met, the learning that has occurred and how “all the pieces are creating a whole”

MARCH 2018

While traveling through Bali, I had a chance to reflect on what happened in the business the year before and to plan for the year ahead. I was inspired by the bountiful craftsmanship of this culture woodworking and jewelry making and especially how the Balinese use their hands to touch people's hearts. That kind of creativity inspired me to travel more, talk to more people, listen to their hearts desire and to coach, coach, coach! Here’s some of the highlights.

Here’s where I found myself getting curious:

  • Bali, Belize, Grenada, Brussels, Madrid, Hong Kong, Phuket, and all over the U.S.  Here are some of the faces I met along the way

I visited temples, buddhas, beautiful beaches and shores, museums, jewelry manufacturing facilities, international basketball arenas and every single place offered new ways to connect with people – all of wanting the same things, to be happy, to take care of our families, and to love fearlessly.

New Year, New You ~ A Women’s Retreat is an awesome day long offering for women of all ages and was shared coast to coast over the past year. If you are interested in attending or hosting your tribe, family or colleagues let me know. We  have a only 3 dates remaining for the whole year!

While traveling through Europe, Michele was able to catch a Madrid vs. Barcelona basketball game, which reminded her about the intensity and excitement that surrounds sports, and the many ways this mindset can impact other aspects of life.  What are really you passionate about ? How is it showing up in your day to day life?

One of my clients hosted a gathering of powerful Bay Area women for a scrumptious brunch “Soul Food is Good for the Soul” and I offered a micro set (workshop) asking the women to consider the impact they want to have, and left them with this inquiry - what are you tolerating?

Hosted at Lorry I. Lokey Graduate School of Business at Mills College, Michele joined like-minded entrepreneurs and thought leaders for an intensive eleven-week Business Growth Strategies course delivered by Inner City Advisors (ICA) and The 8 Factors and Michael Bush. The course promoted strategies to grow business with intention and invigorate the community with love. There’s still so much to learn!

Michele also returned to Martha's Vineyard to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Partnership, Inc., where she is one of the executive coaches for their Next Generation Executive Program (NGE). The featured speaker was Carla Harris investment banker | gospel singer | international speaker.  She lit us up, and offered lots of pearls on how to be our most authentic selves.  Her book, Strategize to Win lays it all out!

At the beautiful campus of Colorado State University, Michele facilitated a full-day Leadership Retreat for 35 students and professionals staff of the Lory Student Center. The retreat, which focused on team building and will elevate LSC’s already stellar program to higher heights and solidify it as #ThePlaceToBe.

As a featured speaker at the first annual OMNoire Glow UpWellness Retreat, Michele experienced GLOWING UP in Grenada, West Indies from October 5-9. She’s teamed up with OMNoire co-founders Christina M. Rice and Amber Lee Forrester, Necole Kane (Founder of xoNecole.com), La Shell Wooten (The Emotional Fitness Trainer), and Kered Clement (digital strategist & content creator) for a revitalizing and empowering weekend.

Then there was more learning, more growth and expansion.  Here you go…

  • Achieved certification with 360 Navigator – all around feedback on you in the workplace

  • Certified as a minority business enterprise

  • Completed the next level of certification with ICF – the International Coaches Federation

It’s hard to believe March is here –
what’s the spring got in store for you?

The Association of College Unions International (ACUI) invited Michele to Keynote its Region IV Conference in Salt Lake City, UT highlighting the diversity of experiences in student centers and unions. Here, Michele connected with national a

nd international college union personnel to get

them to that inner voice and put steps in place

to inspire the best college experience ever.
